The world is waiting for the contribution of the ASEAN products for the world consumer. As the old notion believes that ASEAN countries are rich of natural resources but not innovation, that same challenge creeps in the core programs of the various universities around the 10 countries. This setback creates a negative definition to all the products made in ASEAN countries. Therefore, selling the ASEAN products to the world market will result to a class B or C ranking from the general population's perspective.
On the contrary, what makes all these ideas. As the fundamental belief that world-class quality products comes from accurate production operation, quality assured products are created from the highly skilled people maximizing all the scientific ability used for any strategic planning for any given case problem. Indeed, ASEAN natural resources are rich but not the human resource who are creating innovative products from rich raw materials. ASEAN countries needs to upgrade its human resource capabilities to compete to the world. And to be competitive in the world one must consider the human resource's academic background attained in time. Consequently, at present human resources from the ASEAN countries tries to beat the time in acquiring scientific knowledge from US or other first world countries. With this concept ASEAN countries can benefit from these few exchange students to help the business operation when they finish their degrees abroad.

In the contrary, if the human resource of ASEAN countries cannot acquire these expertise, the tendency of foreign direct investment will follow in accordance to the global need of modern commodities and rich natural resources. Multi-national companies has the advance equipment and human resources to mobilize the business operation in ASEAN countries allowing the maximization and conversion of natural products to finish commodity products. This event is an advantage in the aspect of the ASEAN countries' national income but it's also a set back to the unskilled human resources from the 10 countries represented. From skilled worker migration to "brain drain" in ASEAN countries... all these human resource exodus comes from the reality that the 10 countries cannot allocate the right education and work in accordance to the work needed by the domestic industries.
In-spite all these odds, education sectors from the 10 countries together with the effort of the professors and scientist are all continually researching and upgrading the business concepts and techniques to accurately approach the business cases at present in the region.
