Knowing that Serm Suk Thailand will eventually eliminate Pepsi in their production line in Thailand. Thai Marketers are waiting whats the next move of the company. Serm Suk Company decided to leave Pepsi partnership last summer.
And just yesterday I saw the new cola product of Serm Suk from the canteen of my work place. I tried to buy one bottle not for my consumption but for my curiosity of the new cola product. The major color of the logo (blue and red) depicts the company and product color of Pepsi. The bottle packaging is also similar that of Pepsi. And for the taste, Pepsi and Est is just similar in quality.
I say its one of the Pepsi killer because its not only EST is playing the cola market but we can consider other small companies like RC cola. From the tweets of Est company, their marketing budget in Thailand is doubled this year comparing to Coca Cola company. Although Est has a lot to prove in the market both national and international but their marketing movement and presence will threaten the two big cola players in the world.
(Marketing concept) Est must maintain its market presence consistently. Pepsi and Coca Cola is dominating the world market of cola product since the infancy of cola discovery. These two giant companies are rich in market research data to fight against new up and coming cola companies. BUT the market killer formula is for EST to exist in the market constantly. Pepsi and Coca Cola hate to see new upcoming companies that will hinder their market share. Note that customers in the near future won't mind the brand of the product but the quality that will fit to their needs... And of course the quality service given by the company. Hopefully Est product will gradually dominate not only the Thai market but the ASEAN market as well.
