Few years had passed since CISCO bought Linksys Company
which added to their division for internet gadgetry. But recently CISCO tweeted some rumors that
they will sell out their Linksys Division for the reason of focusing their
business technology marketing more on the enterprise software products and
services.
So what is the lucrative part
in enterprise software products, if we examine the difference between
enterprise software customers and the PC software customers the consistency of
customer volume in enterprise software customers is far more knowledgeable
compared to the PC software customers?
My idea brings back to my previous blog of Apple’s patent problem. Why Apple Company is having the problem of
patent war, it’s because PC software customers are so shaky when it comes to
its buying behavior.
Local market buyers of computers are more likely to decide
in buying through their present taste preferences especially that personal
electronic computers today are far more affordable compared to the PC’s
before. Likewise, CISCO company finds a
lucrative monetary advantage in enterprise software business that every company
is customized in installing their own computer system preference. Customization for every enterprise, customer
allows an enormous knowledge of human capital to design the infrastructure and
not to deviate the quality standards of CISCO Company.
This enterprise business will allow CISCO to
stay longer or even the life time of the company, CISCO will maintain the
company’s computer infrastructure.
Research and innovation in CISCO Company are moving the company’s
technological advancement far more to be comparable with other companies. Sun Micro System is one of the few enterprise
software businesses to compete in that level of computer business.
And as far as CISCO’s observation, playing
business in enterprise level will require strong PR strategies both the
customer and other business partners. In
this level of business were engineer to engineer language communication is
required a lesser consumer transient marketing strategy is required which will
lessen the stressful market strategy manipulation. Just imagine the never ending patent war
between Samsung and Apple. Even we can
further observe the “ The Apps War” or computer applications that we
continually enjoy this very moment in our Ipads.
All of those products are based from the
judgment and preference of the “Angry Birds” application customer. CISCO Company is not afraid of “Angry Bird”
but rather to the customers and users of “Angry Birds” applications. Computer software street war will never end;
upon knowing that IPV6 and other advancement in internet is still coming, general public will surely embrace the internet
technology to define the future’s communication. Thus, CISCO shifted their arena to a higher
platform to eliminate small players and focus more on the technological
artistry of Enterprise Software Business.
