Another patent decoy of Samsung for Apple is the new Samsung
Smartphone Watch. The new brand extension
of Samsung is obviously not for the purpose satisfying the markets demand but
to create added innovation that they can claim the Intellectual property rights
and if it will hit the world market they can have the upper hand against apple
Company.
Sometimes the case of Samsung
and Apple, they are not after of the public service but rather to their company’s
personal ego granting the case of Apple against Samsung until this time they
are willing to spend all their money to fight in court. The brand extension of Samsung SmartWatch maybe
an awkward gadget that the general public will use at this time granting the
case of Google glass where the general public is still internalizing the usage
of the product by connecting the habit of usage in their daily life.
Samsung Smart Watch on the contrary, in my
perception as a marketing tech observer, the general public is not ready yet to
adopt the gadget knowing that having a phone in their watch is fashionably
unacceptable as of the moment. Samsung
PR and Marketing strategy must consider the fact that watch products are more
inclined towards fashion. To sight an
example, rolex watch hired Maria Sharapova to endorse the Rolex brand knowing
that Ms. Sharapova is popular not by her tennis skills but by her modeling career.
Finally, Samsung must lessen their focus in their competition
with Apple Company and rather pay attention to the demand of the general public’s
sociological behavior.
