Sunshine After the Rain (Ecological Engineering Research); Inspirational Blog Article for Tacloban City Philippines
I was off in my blog for a few days after internalizing the negative impact of Typhoon Yolanda in my country Philippines. Leyte typhoon incident is just few weeks after Cebu city’s earthquake incident. For centuries Philippines is always a victim of natural disaster due to its geographical location were in all walks of life are always affected by natural calamities that are occurring almost every year. But nevertheless, during this time of calamities our allies around the world are always willing to lend their hand to help our country Philippines.
My heartfelt
thanks to the United States of America, Japan, England, Thailand, Korea, Canada, Australia,
Indonesia, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Russia, & et al. represented by the United Nations
who responded to the disaster as quickly as possible. Without the help of these countries mentioned
above, our people will suffer more due to the low technological gadgets being
used for rescue missions.
In my blog title I emphasize the metaphor of “sunshine after the rain”
right after the interview of President Benigno Aquino by Christiane Amanpour of
CNN. The President mentioned the term “Ecological
reengineering”, this field of science is a huge project that will change positively to a country
like Philippines. Ecological
Reengineering is the change of culture and civilization for a given country or the world at large. For all the Filipinos, new Philippines is
coming which is more peaceful and with a better landscape designed. I believe, it is still more fun in the Philippines...as what the slogan goes.
Ecological Engineering (Theory of Geoff Lawton)
But this high technology ecological landscaping
applying the Permaculture Principles needs the help of our allies to
effectively apply all the necessary elements to change our country to a more livable
place. With this regard, academic
intellect is required in all aspects of society in order to uplift the standard
of living in the Philippines. Science
and the modern cultural diversity is the only way that can change for a better
Philippines.
To all Filipino people who are victims of this disastrous catastrophe “The
new Philippines is coming” Keep the faith….Science can move mountains as well.
