Mind over Matter; A reflective analysis of David Bohm’s Journal of Philosophy

Mind’s imagination, thinking, & analyzing activities are the common undertakings of the brain that fellow humans cannot even explain the relative physical movement of the brain towards the human body and the effect in human behavior and the environment and matters around.

The continued debate between scholars regarding the topic of human minds activities resulted to a notion that minds activity will eventually affect the human body and the environment.  Several stories from the past suggest that you can move an object merely by imagining things using your deep thoughts and concentrations and eventually transform the physical matter into what your mind suggests.

Descartes further argues that matter is connected to the human mind and imagination knowing that imagination is composed of the things that you reflect from your acquired visual and audio data.  To give an example if a person conceived that a big animal (visual) will produce a louder sound for communicating, thus when a person will see a bigger animal without even hearing the sound of the animal… a person may conclude that bigger animals will create louder sound.

Undeniably, human mind is capable of formulating logical and conclusive judgments based from the acquired data input through a certain period of time.  The article of Bohm further implicates the quantum theory that will support the relationship of mind activity towards matter.

In this case, if a huge and massive human mind activity that can create an enormous amount of energy transformed into physical matter then huge effect in the physical world will happen.  Relatively, the theory of Newton was also discussed by Bohm on how physical matter will receive the reactive relationship from the mind activity.

Though these concepts are still vague in the world of empirical studies and observations but the quadrants of realities and truth about the relationship of mind and matter are inevitable.

It is not magic anymore...
