The Growing Usage of Science and Technology Applied in Organizational Data Mining; Analytics 3.0 (Thoughts from Harvard Business Review Readings Dec 2013 issue)
As we can recall 1.0 is still the
time when the business physical activities are being recorded and uploaded into
the computer system for the purpose of storing the information. But during the era of 2.0, the data stored in
the system can now be used in the internet platform for knowledge management
and sharing.
In this course, the
internet companies in Silicon Valley start to generate profit from the business
activities inside the internet.
E-commerce is not an alternative tool but rather it is now a necessity to
accomplish real time business transactions and communications used in business
logistics and supply chain.
At present, Analytics 3.0 is the analytic and computing age
when every business activities are recorded and analyzed through the logical programming
and simulations. At this point in time,
industries can analyze the core data mining from the different segmented
departments in the company and optimizing the data to be used as a beta
knowledge system used not only for the organization but for the whole
stakeholders.
We can conclude that
customers alike can use the organization’s data system for the benefit of the
customer. As of today, Google and Amazon
are the two companies giving rich data to their customers for information use.
As a final point, Analytics 3.0 will result in putting all
the knowledge acquired by the organization in the cloud resulting to a freer
physical workplace. As you can observe
the nature of Google and Amazon Company in using interactive business
communication differ from the traditional working atmosphere, workers of Google
and Amazon and the stakeholders as a whole can work in any place around the
globe provided that the given worker or customer can access the data of Google
or Amazon in the “cloud”.
