Writing this blog at the end of the semester depicts the
realities and the problems of the ASEAN region to come. The given text discussed the 6 important
roles of government in the years to come in terms of International Business. Both private and government sectors are going
to face the challenges like climate change, energy consumption, environmental
damage, poverty, malnutrition, & Food security.
Around the ASEAN region today progressive insights and
business planning are bursting from one FDI company to another. Money is overflowing
as well as the business ventures and plan. But thinking towards the whole framework of
the International Business role of ASEAN, are we ready to face the 6 challenges
of International Business?
One disturbing issue that I’m sure would be a hindrance to
the business success of ASEAN countries is the human resource. Knowing that Human Resource’s eligibility
reflects from the educational framework of the given ASEAN countries. As to our class discussion, even though ASEAN
region is having a lot of money from investors and a lot of multinational
companies are investing; the actual people who will execute the actual work for
the prosperity of the region is not in place.
As such, the possibility of the continued predictions of the 6 main
challenges of climate change, energy consumption, environmental damage,
poverty, malnutrition, & Food security is still possible in ASEAN countries
this coming 2015 and beyond. Governments
in ASEAN region must act not in a “slow motion” anymore but to act radically to
steal the chance of saving the ASEAN region as the hub of International
Business from Europe down to Central Asia and ASEAN.
With the 6 main challenges of International Business, based
from the opinions of my students and the text reference, government
intervention using policy and International Law revisions are necessary.
