Just recently this week Dockers company makers of khakhi pants line is surprising my facebook account
by liking my profile picture. Though I
“tag” them for my post few days ago, but to expect the company PR department to
like my profile is beyond my expectation.
I believe the company marketing and PR department are starting to make
use of the online PR and Media marketing highway.
Through social media and blogging they can
have more unique segments and SBU for new market ventures. As to my line they can actually open the
Dockers for University or Dockers for Teachers line or segment. Referring to the strategic marketing concept
of 3 C’s, 1. Clear market definition 2. Good match between corporate strengths
and the needs of the market. 3. Superior performance relative to the
competition. The company can have a new
match of market from university teachers and students were people in the
university will always use formal and semi-formal attire for everyday
schooling. More Dockers PR in schools
and University activities and programs must be considered by the company to
open a wider and new market segment.
