Countries all over the world are seeking the lasting peace
and public orderliness in a rapid growing population. Hypothetically, when the population will
increase in one given country, public orderliness is the government’s
challenge. At this time, America is
fighting against terrorism since the 9/11.
Many political analyst conceived the notion that due to migration and
increase of population in American soil it created a negative effect in terms
of cultural conflicts and beliefs. As a result,
riots and mass suicides are almost a daily news in the US. Indeed, right after the tragic event during
9/11 the U.S. government proclaim a war in Iraq and other countries like
Afghanistan that until today the continued sequel of war on terrorism is like a
“Harry Potter” series of novel.
On the contrary, the war on drugs in the Philippines is an
awe to some of the legislative body not only because of the seriousness of the Philippine
Government in implementing the program but rather the surprising number of Filipino
citizens who voluntarily surrendered for drug rehabilitation. On the contrary many critics both in congress
and senate are viewing their legal arguments on the term “judicial killings”
that I believe the legal definition of the said term is far from the actual
incidents. As a result the Philippine
government is inviting the foreign diplomats to investigate first hand regarding
the issue of EJK. But as a whole, the
program on war on drugs resulted to even higher trust rating of the present
government of the Philippines.
Furthermore, the confidence of every Filipino in showing the firmness of
the government policies creates International respect in terms of diplomacy and
foreign alliances.
Looking at the moral and philosophical view of these
parallel “wars”, we can clearly suggest that a war without clear objective and
conclusion is a null advocacy that in return it will create negative feedback
to the overall program. Evidently, the war
on terror started right after 9/11 in Iraq is again creeping in the American
soil camouflaging from their own citizens with a clouded mind from different
ideologies.
While on the contrary, the war on drugs in the Philippines creates
a new horizon of hope to the nation and its people. Moreover, it creates new business
possibilities and building new historical International alliances from
historical turn of events. Indeed, we
can clearly see the difference of the long “war on terror” and the few months’
long “war on drugs”. Every government is
looking for peace and prosperity but the political skill and will of the leader
of the country will determine the fate of the nation. Who is smarter Duterte or
Obama?
