The most interesting part of politics and governance is the evolution and the revolution of different ideologies since civilization started. I redundantly expounding the words of Francis Fukuyama because he views the emphatic flow of politics and governance since the civilization of mankind in book one and in book two the modern political ideologies that he considered the new religion of the world. What interest me the most this time and other teachers and great philosophers of the world is the future of politics and governance. That is why in my succeeding blog articles I always read and research the holistic definition of democracy.
The world had seen the fall of communism through the downfall of Berlin
Wall, The government change of Mikhail Gorbachev, and the openness of trade by
the Peoples Republic of China to the World. These great icons of Communism from
the ideology of Lenin on the train proves that communism did not succeed in
their wars in Vietnam, Afghanistan, and other Southeast Asian countries and the
world. But as
I read more philosophy and political journals, what many teachers and
professors are interested the most is the trending issue about the political decay
of democracy. All my readings I based it to the writings of Francis Fukuyama
because Fukuyama clearly presented the time line of the politics and ideology
since before time.
NOAM CHOMSKY AND THE DARK SIDE OF DEMOCRACY
One of the famous professors in the world today who argued
the emergence of democracy after socialism is the famous author Noam
Chomsky. He is a professor of University
of Arizona and Professor emeritus of linguistics and philosophy at MIT. His previous
publication “Hegemony or Survival” and “Failed State” proves that democracy has
its limits in terms of governance in the United States itself and the
implementations of US policies around the world and its allies. He stated in his latest book, “Noam Chomsky
Global Discontents” that the setbacks of democracy is not only the “Freedom to
Vote” which many in Asian countries who are democratic “copy cats” wants to be
modern and sophisticated in terms of governance that they don’t even think the
dark effect of democracy if not properly implemented. If you may ask what’s the dark side of
democracy, Noam Chomsky presented in Chapter one of the most modern example of
democracy in a more fascist character. “State
Spying and Democracy” is the first chapter that Noam Chomsky discussed in his
latest book.
With the modern
communication platform of the internet the NSA can decipher all the information
in the internet to track the information related to terrorism for example. In my opinion that is but the greatest gift
for US and the world that they can track criminals through NSA spying connecting
to the international police around the world.
Criminals can be easily tracked through their internet footprints as
they say. But the philosophical view of
Nom Chomsky drives the rights of all the citizens in US and the world as to how
can they make their emails and social media accounts more private without the
hacking and phising high-tech abilities of NSA. Moreover, spying technology of
US improve their upgrade using drones technology that they can use flying
machines without the physical pilots but rather pilots of drone flying machines
are remotely located in the US eating chips and drinking Dr. Pepper while the
people in Afghanistan are catching all the bombs released by the unmanned drone
machine.
This issue is so controversial
in the court rooms of the United States attracted many congressmen and senators
to conduct the debate in terms of the moral rights in including Drones
Technology in the operation of the US military around the world. Thus, the PRISM program of the US that I wrote
in my blog a year ago where Michio Kaku presented the marvelous invention of
science in the US soil brought a great political and moral issue to the tables
of the US congress and Senate. As such, we can also refer the case of privacy
in the US communication to the arguments of Michael Sandel in terms of the
philosophies of Aristotle and the moral side of democracy. Noam Chomsky further
presented and argued the involvement of the US in the Arab world. Chomsky wrote in his book (page 19) that “The
United States and Israel are pretty happy, watching Arabs slaughter each other”.
“U.S. invasion of Iraq, a major crime. Let the Arabs kill each other and
undermine each other.” From these statement alone of the author proves the aggressive
stance of democracy to occupy the world governments knowing that communism is
obviously in a complete decay and becoming more of a relic. As democracy is desperate same behavior during
the time when the US and the British had there geopolitical war and issues with
the Spanish in California with Mexico, the diplomatic and sattle invasion of US
in Guam, Hawaii, and Palau and other small Pacific islands during World War 2
made Japan look bad and US looks more of the Super Man and the Savior of the
Pacific.

RIGHT TO VOTE OR RIGHT TO BUY VOTE (Playing the Hearts of the Voters)
The trade mark of democracy since the liberation of
independence is the right of every person to vote. During the micro war in California when the
time of the gold rush is the main reason why they need independence, the political
tag of war between the Spanish, French, and British caused the many controversial
political issues in California. As such,
election and the right to vote is the solution to the chaos at that time. But
the main problem of voting and election at that time is the people who are so
good in manipulating the votes of the people. Remember that at that time people
are illiterate In terms of philosophy, logic, and governance. What their “Senor”
will tell them to do or vote that they will accept it because they are working for “Senor”. The movie Mask of Zorro will be the highlight
of my next blog article as to how California and the freedom of the Mexicanos
portrays the definition of democracy in the state of California.
The problem of the democratic copy cats around the world at
the moment is the implementation of democracy. Note that democracy in the book
of Fukuyama defines a more scientific kind of governance that in order to
practice democracy one must apply science and logic in order to justify many
moral cases for example. And to use
democracy not in an “American” cultured society will rather experience huge
political turbulence in terms of fairness and efficiency. A good example is the election voting. Many countries in the world who try to
embrace the right to vote are being manipulated by people who are greedy to be
in power. Just what happened in
California during the time of Zorro that the ballot boxes are being stolen by
thieves paid by the other political party to disturb the rights of the citizens
who are voting for the cause of democratic definition’s. Do you think that the people has the right to
vote or the party has the right to buy vote.
BRENDAN SIMON’S VIEW OF WORLD POLITICS
The writings of Simons gives as the view that after World War
2 Great Britain is still powerful in Europe. After the Napoleonic War and the
rise of Soviet, still Great Britain was not broken by contest. The dormant power of England prevails a
sleeping giant at this time. Remember,
US is only an offshoot of England way back when the discontented political
icons of America created what they call “land of the free”. Do you think they
are free or fugitives of England?
What do you think would be the future of politics and
governance? The book of Fukuyama only discussed in his last chapters the nature
of democracy. The world has politically evolved
from the Romanovs, Napoleon War, Socialist Lenin, and the Present aggressive stance
of democracy. What is next to democracy…..
Oops! Democracy is not that perfect....
