The Modern Minds and The Idea of Scientific Revolution: Achieving the Discovery of Discovery and The Eureka of Future Science
How science started in the minds of humans is one of the
intriguing parts of world history and the history of mankind is the ultimate
reason why humans itself are finding the origins and the ending of
humanity. The argument alone of the
origin of mankind linger in the minds of the many thinkers from the past until
to this very moment. The survival of
humanity depends on how humans can conceive its environment and the future
ecosystem. The history of science and
its invention gave the book of David Wootton an interesting and emphatic
presentation from the narratives of the famous Philosophers like Plato and the
many more great poets during the time of the Renaissance. Many famous characters in the history of
science is worth imitating not to the actual technical knowledge of science but
the attitude towards science and scientific observation itself. The book reveals how the academe and the
science practitioner before respected the laws of science that most of the time
Kingdoms and world governments during the Renaissance period find it more
useful if governments rely more on scientific data and conclusions for decision
making.
Before reason and data analysis is the main tool in achieving conclusions for governance and other civic management during the time of the Renaissance era. Modern minds during that time play more of Philosophy and its relativity to the physical world. During 1572 the modern science was invented by Tycho Brahe. And the study of Brahe connects to the nova or the new star that many scientist and philosopher interestingly study more of the heavens and the galaxy. Some who are more imaginative and who are good in creating myths of the heavens will result to the beliefs of the Gods like Zeus and other Greek methodology characters. If you read the Greek mythology you will find it similar to the stories of the Bible that the content of the stories is based on myths and parables rather than facts and reason. The challenging part of scientific discovery during that time started on how to achieve the discovery of discovery or the proper and reasonable way of discovering a given nature’s scientific explanation. Giving a correct and scientific information needs a correct way of presentation specifically to the kind of language and syntax to be specific to achieve the right meaning to the listener or the readers point of view. Scientific information deserves the right way of discovering new things during the time of Plato and Archimedes.
Humans during that time are finding meaning of life beyond the realm of
the physical world. Thus, many
philosophers tried to connect their ideas to the natural physical world. Between 1600 and 1733 the intellectual world
of the educated elite changed more rapidly than at the time in previous history
and perhaps than at any time in previous history. You can just imagine how thinking and
imagination are connected to the physical movement of their actual lifestyle
during the 1600 to 1733. Thus, magic was replaced by science, and myth by fact.
The philosophy of ancient Greece was carried out to the philosophy and science during
1600. Since men are so obsessed with the physical beings beyond the world that
men live in, indeed by 1576-91 Tycho Brahe a protestant who does not believe in
miracles that he contributed so much to the knowledge of the scientific
revolution. Brahe’s researches at Hven
turned astronomy into the first modern science. The Nova of 1572 was not the
cause of the scientific revolution, any more than the bullet which killed
Archduke Franz Ferdinand on 28 June 1914. The revolution, as the death of the
archduke marks the beginning of the war.
For the Aristotelian philosophy of nature could not be adapted to
incorporate this peculiar anomaly; if there could be such thing as the new
star, then the whole system was founded on false premise. Thus, scientific
revolution that has transformed the nature of knowledge and the capacities of
humankind enable world society to move forward in terms of the living status
and the comfort of life.
Besides
scientific revolution another revolution that is deemed important to the history
of civilization is the Neolithic Revolution were the fundamental technologies and
simple machines for farming is being discovered. As the world population needs
more food and upgrading the technology of food the start of that revolution is
the Neolithic Revolution. The idea of
Scientific Revolution was rigorously emphasized in the university lectures of
Herbert Butterfield in University of Cambridge in 1948. Note that also in University
of Cambridge were Isaac Newton (1643-1727) had written his Philosophice
Naturalis Principia Mathematica or the Mathematical Principles of Natural
Philosophy (1687) made Cambridge university a place of knowledge and its
historical origins of the scientific revolution. Moreover, the phrase “the scientific
revolution of the seventeenth century” originates from the American Philosopher
and the educational reforms of John Dewey.
Dewey who is also known of founding the pragmatism in 1915 contributed
to the advancement of the scientific world and its revolution. Later in the history
of knowledge and wisdom of the world scientific revolution was also embraced by
the political revolution.
As politics
and governance needs the concrete data to analyze the present public situation most
of the important decision making in politics now a days are referred from the
academic insights produced from the scientific empirical studies in the universities
both in England and America. The origins
of Modern Science started when scientific observers and scholars starts to
abide and follow certain protocols to adhere to the correct language and
pattern of relaying the correct data to the given language of English for
example. What we are using today as the
pattern on how to observe data through empirical research are from the created
scientific patterns during the scientific revolution without the idea of the
scientific revolution our society today is in a mess in terms of public
organization for example. A good example
that I can think as an example that we can imply as the exact relatedness of
the past scientific revolution until today is the study of the galaxy and astronomy
together with the weather. Without the
weather forecast our governments today around the world will have a hard time
to predict the in coming typhoon for example in any world geographical location. We can give credit to the scientific monks

who did not stop in analyzing the connectivity of the heavens
and the earth’s habitat. Science
therefore is the main source of reference in governance after the scientific
revolution.
The race of invention triggered
many intellects not only in Cambridge but also other famous universities around
the world to upgrade their discoveries by using the method on how to
scientifically observed that by interpreting the observation will properly and
academically translate to the language and the logical order of reason were language
syntax, mathematical data, and logic related to philosophy will come to a
synchronize order to a achieve a statement or a theory that is more accepted to
the academic eyes and definition of the many academic practitioner around the
world.
In the studies of William Gilbert and the scientific and philosophical observation of Thomas Aquinas (1225-74) the start of Philosophy and the connectedness to the physical world will later benefit the present civilization. From medicine to social management today are subject to the data analysis given from the discoveries of the scientific revolution. The most popular discoveries in the scientific revolution is the making of knowledge that by then facts are very important to persuade and suggest a scientific conclusion. Facts today are being classified into a level of acceptability in the eyes and the discipline of the modern scientific practices. Today facts are carefully scrutinized to achieve a quality and reliable variables for empirical observation. Next is the method of observation which what we call the experiment stage. At this stage a careful observation is being followed by the scientist longtime ago to achieve a reliable output of conclusion.

Experiment is being practiced to all discipline of science that by then cross referencing from different discipline of sciences can still be usable and enable to create a new knowledge and innovation according to the objectives of the researchers with a reflections to the given questions and problems of any given case. Today not only science in physics and medicine are observing these kinds of system of discovery but also social sciences, example of social science related to law and philosophy that relates to business negotiation and international business needs the fundamental concepts of logic and reason. The basic theory of inductive and deductive reason is basically being observed by the many researcher both business researchers and legal researchers of today. The language of logic and the syntax of philosophy that relates to the language of English transform many scientific activities from then and now.

What do
you think would happen in the future when the laws of physical science are being
bent with the huge contribution of the many sciences and academic discipline of
today? If Archimedes shouted Eureka during
his days how many more Eureka can be created in the field of science that even
physical science and biology is being integrated with the realm of technology
that at this very moment scientist are trying to prolong life with an objective
to mechanize the living with the concept of biotechnology. Do you think that the scientific revolution today
is more sensible compared to the scientific revolution of the founding fathers
of scientific revolution? As the living humans today, how can we augment the
knowledge of the intellect during the scientific revolution that by then we can
maximize and even exaggerate the volume and the intensity of the impact of
scientific breakthrough from the past. If
we only continue the scientific revolution within our personal concept in
academics and scientific reasoning then we can be a great contributing factor
to the scientific world. Is the world today
more scientifically reasonable or unreasonable?
