Asia’s Great Empires; Guns, Goons, Girls, and the Modern AI Spying

The interesting culture of ancient Asia drives the empires of the past more interesting to the modern archeologist study and their various research of today.  Few of the aspects of the history of empires in Asia that attracts my readings these days is in the aspect of geopolitics and the domino effect in terms of economics and human survival of the many ancient empires and Kingdoms of Asia from the past.  In this blog, I’ll give more of my insights in terms of the kingdoms of the Mongols and the Ottomans.  These two Kingdoms will show that the modern governments of today are having similarities in the natural existence of the modern governments of today considering the varied Asian culture.

Even the natural climate in Asia affected the change of governance during the ancient empires that Thames & Hudson discussed in their literature.  The authors go further beyond the analysis of the kingdoms of Asia and further discussed the important political relationship along the political and geographical area of responsibility.  The timeline for the reign of empire in Asia started with the Khmer and then followed by the Mongols and next is the Ottomans, the Ming, the Safavids, the Mughals, and later the Meiji restoration.  But the book further explained as to how the different empires survived during their reign and that the thesis projects the importance of Guns, Goons & the Girls for their instrument in military spying.

During the age of the empires in Asia Guns are the rule of law.  Governments during that time are created by force according to the dominant group or dynasty during a given period of time.  During the time of the Mongols, the reign of the Mongol empire relies more on their aggressive invasion in the regions of the countries and empires surrounding their territory. Once a given empire will be invaded the remaining population will become servants to the Khans.  But the book discussed more on how they were able to manage the occupied lands in Asia and further to Europe that the writings of Thames and Hudson present the military tactical moves of the Mongols are not incongruent to the economic growth of the many regions they invaded.  The term SOCIAL ENGINEERING is the keyword that the author not only implies to the empire of the Mongol but to all the empires mentioned above.  Social engineering is the way how an empire at that time can refine in a social manner that captured population in a given empire.

The Spymaster

In the case of the Mongol, they have many strong men to capture an empire that in terms of the “Goons” the Mongols themselves are capable of having a war with any empire across Asia and Europe.  But getting new men and “Goons” for the invaded empire conflicts to the civil management that the Mongols are used in their lands. Public management is not subject to the present culture of the invaded region of Asia.  Thus, when they capture parts of Europe specifically Russia their afterwar healing of the society lacks the skills of Social Engineering.  Do you think the Chinese government of today can perfect the social engineering that the Mongols failed many years ago?  Looking closely to the events after world war 2 when the Japanese invaded Asia and the Philippines and even the solid colonization of the Spanish in Asia and the Philippines their tactical social engineering and changing the fundamental culture of Asia did not change the core concepts and beliefs of the people.

The ancient countries who colonize and invaded Asia used religion, education related to medical studies to educate the Asian population at that time.  But in spite of the Guns, Goons & Girls they brought with them colonizing Asia is but a complicated social engineering for them.  Even the Mongols when they captured China they have a problem with social engineering the later period in terms of their social management.  Now in the case of China at present their stance in invading the seas and the countries around Asia are the replica of the Mongols during the Ancient times.  Not by force or military war YET. But by diplomatic sabotage using monetary compromises using “debt trap” for example.  The diplomatic trap is a way that a given smaller country will only submit to the conditions of China without any hustle.  Though the military aggression will eliminate the social factor of the invaded country will not submit in terms of loyalty and allegiance to the new regime but rather rebellion will grow in the minds of the oppressed.

Thus, China nowadays is applying their advanced technology to suppress the emergence of ideologies not congruent to there governments teaching.  Using the technology of AI and recognition technology the government of China can recognize every citizen in their country by using CCTV cameras.  But not only in China same as well with the United States, but every citizen can also be read and controlled via AI with a fundamental motive of preventing social upheaval and maintaining peace and social control via the advance way of imposing social engineering.  Thus, the skills of Sir Francis Walsingham in England who mastered the art of spying is now being augmented through the technology of computing and AI.

Love or Spying?

In China that their new strategy of social engineering through their hi-tech security system is widely used now the government will have a chance to know and will have the knowledge for every citizen’s activity wherever they will have their daily endeavor.  In terms of security it is good but in terms of citizen’s privacy, it will be a dystopia.  Not only in China we can witness this kind of AI recognition technology but also in the US.  If the Mongols long time ago is having the problem of social engineering in terms of the invaded regions of the world, could it be that China and America will use these kinds of AI technologies for the future of COLONIZATION and INVASION.

KGB And The Fake News

Maybe yes or maybe not… But the current system installed by China in the Spratlys Island are so could “weather” technology facility.. well and good to hear but if the facility will interact with the SATTELITE system of China then that facility will serve more than the weather in that region. Logically who would care about the weather of the Philippines… But then again if we consider the years of the Mongols supremacy, they try to strengthen their social mobility and social management through information input from travelers like Marco Polo.  Would you think that Marco Polo is having an exchange of information with princess Kokachin knowing that Princess Kokachin has a  questionable relationship with the Khans?  Indeed, Marco Polo tries to penetrate the Khans through the love of princess Kokachin.  On the other hand, Marco Polo is from Europe (Venice) (https://avantgardebyryanf.blogspot.com/2018/01/marco-polo-and-not-so-silky-road-pledge.html) that to the European Asia and the empire of the Mongols are very lucrative for invasion.  Indeed, war is a business.

Digital Dystopia

Information exchange by US and China will augment using the modern technology that will even surpass to the technology of the sexy spies of James Bond. Indeed, information or what we call secret service information during the time of invasion is vital for the future war survival.  But the summary of the text of Thames & Hudson conceived that the old Empires are gone in our present day because of the fact that SOCIAL ENGINEERING failed to prevail in their public ordinance and management.  If China or America will exercise the might in colonizing the Asian countries and Empires would you think they can surpass the smart social engineering of the Spanish and the Dutch during the time when the Spanish found the New World? Where is the New World of the 21st Century?
