PACIFIC and the GAME OF LOANS: “DESPACITO” Towards Communist China’s Power Grab

Many of the academicians and scholars who are studying sociology and anthropology are in a feast of analyzing the future of the Pacific. The change of civilization in the Pacific at present will affect the future of the region’s civilization and eventually affect the cultural landscape of the world. Authors like Frankopan, Nail Ferguson, Harari, & Fukuyama are so interested in their writings as to how the world will change according to the time series of our world history. Accordingly, to some authors, they try to equate and compare the parallel events of the past towards the present conflict of sea dispute in the Pacific. Lately, I browsed in my favorite bookstore https://www.asiabooks.com the book that will relevantly compare the past political and military tactics and the present problem in the Pacific in terms of politics, military, and International Business. Recently, I bought a book authored by Graham Allison a Professor of Government and a former director of the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and also the founding Dean of Harvard Kennedy School.

The author’s interest in studying the many world events related to politics and government affecting international business will give the readers the enlightenment and the knowledge that world event cases related to the Pacific conflict are but similar to other events in the world. Likewise, the book of Graham Allison is also praised by the former Vice President of the United States Mr. Joe Biden. According to Biden “Allison is one of the keenest observers of the international affairs around.” As such, I am thrilled to acquire this text with a purpose of knowing the political conflict of China and US at the moment that will be related to the old cases of war and politics in the ancient times. The book further used the theory Thucydides’s Trap that later I will discuss more of the detail’s theoretical application on how the author used the ancient theory to connect the similarities of the events in the Pacific and the events of the past. The main comparison of the author in terms of the China and US at the moment are the events of Germany and England, Soviet and United States, and the famous historic conflict and war between Athens and Sparta.

An ancient Greek historian by the name of Thucydides explained that ”It was the rise of Athens and the fear that this instilled in Sparta that made war inevitable”. The Peloponnesian war made a huge change in the different cultural practices affecting society from the then and now. Studies like Philosophy, drama, architecture, democracy, history, & naval prowess changes when great wars and conflict will shake and reform the civilization. Thus, world war events in Europe and less to forget the “Cold War” of Soviet and the United States” change the landscape of politics and business around the world. On the contrary, Frankopan’s latest book also will support the empirical readings of Allison regarding the rise of China. Thus, in my recent blogs, I expounded the thought that China had experienced a great “Humiliation” in the eyes of world naval force and world politics (https://avantgardebyryanf.blogspot.com/2018/12/the-clash-of-tigers-dream-of-meteor.html). But at present, the conflict in the Pacific will give a great suspense to all the world leaders as to who will dominate in the Pacific.

Looking back in Athens and Sparta, after their long war radical changes in civilization are starting to force the common people and the overall society to adhere to the new standards of society defined by the law of the land. As I was browsing my country’s fundamental civil code, I can just imagine what will happen for this compilation of civil laws in my land when Communist China will eventually invade the smaller countries in the Pacific specifically my country Philippines. Our famous professor for law and legal research are building the civil code of the Philippines for example for centuries to give freedom of the weaker Filipinos in terms of survival in their daily living. Prof. Jose N. Nolledo and Prof. Mercedita S. Nolledo are the few intellects of the country Philippines who contributed the legal shield for the common people to leave in a peaceful life. The law against child abuse, family code, code of Muslim personal laws, property, youth welfare and many are the fundamental building blocks of society that shape the nation.

If the invasion of China in the smaller countries of the Pacific will happen just like what happened in the famous war in Sparta and Athens would you think that the Civil Code created by our intellectual minds of the country can still be of help for the poor and the general public? Or we will only obey the radical communist rules of communist China. The ongoing trade war with the US and China will give a big role in terms of the future of these smaller nations around the Pacific. The great humiliation will rise as a Red Dragon in Asia invading the smaller countries that are deemed captivating in the eyes of the Red Dragon China in terms of the land and power grab in the region of the Pacific. Likewise, our civil code of the Philippines is only protected by the wits of an intellectual professor who shape the civil laws of the land. By protecting our overall laws and sovereignty of our country Philippines we carry on our legal cases in the international courts to gain the benefits of the wits of the prominent professors of our land. But sad to think that many “little dragon ladies” are also conniving with the Red Dragon in terms of playing the Game of Loans. As the trade war between US and China is still going on pulling and pushing the political power across the region of the Pacific “little dragon ladies” in the Philippines are also enjoying the “GAME OF LOANS” initiated by the Red Dragon of China.

But be careful with the Red Dragon they will brutally hurt you back if she can’t get anything from you anymore. Unlike the Daenerys THE MOTHER OF DRAGONS who gave his military cooperation with the King of the North Jon knowing that her goodness showed in her kindness and love will save the two nations. But unlike the Red Dragon and the “Little Dragon” who is currently playing the “GAME OF LOANS” in the Philippines, crouching like a tiger and sneaking the “GAME OF LOANS” to benefit the inflation status of the country suffered by the people. It is for the people as to which dragon we will follow. Slowly “Despasito” this characteristic like the Red Dragon and the little dragon will sneak the minds and the attention of the public evading the civil codes of the land and pursue their personal motives to achieve their “GAME OF LOANS” Moreover, the writings and the academic notion of Frankopan will add the theory of Allison in terms of the Thucydides Trap theory that somehow the case of China and the US at this time is a printed history already. Having said that, knowing the angles of the political scenarios between America and China the conflict in Athens and Sparta will come to life again that even if you vividly scrutinize the geographical mapping of Westeros it has a typographical similarity with Suez Canal and the conflict in Egypt and the Sinai Region.

Furthermore, conflict in Crimea will add up to the notion that similar typographical location like the Westeros will eventually end up in a conflict and war. But in the case of China and the Philippines would you think that it is good to dance with the Red Dragon China that we clearly know that in the end, it will eat the civil code landmarks of our society Philippines? Can we still save our country in terms of the wits and wisdom of our intellectual legal researchers of our country? Or all our knowledge and wits will be wasted in just a push of a nuclear button in Spratlys Island? We all know that the Philippines are only winning in terms of our wits. The Wisdom of SC Justice Carpio will always be a beacon of hope to the Filipino people. Choosing to serve the Filipino people is more than enough to mention you in my blog almost all the time. The wits of Justice Carpio will equate the wits of Tyrion Lannister who save not only to the Kingdom of the Lannister in Kings Landing but also the people of Daenerys the mother of Dragons and the Jon the new King of the North previously known the Lord Commander of the night’s watch in the North guarding the walls and protecting the living against the dead.

But in the case of the Philippines, our walls that guard our sovereignty are only the wits of Carpio. I say “only wits” because many of legislative body both in the lower house and the upper chambers do not consider the weight of the power of logic and wits of our national intellects like Justice Carpio and the authors who created the Civil Code of the Philippines like Prof. Jose N. Nolledo and Prof. Mercedita S. Nolledo who sacrifice their academic career in saving the national sovereignty of the land. As to the “Little Dragon,” her concept is not with the accordance of these famous wits of our country but by conniving the big Red Dragon in terms of the GAME OF LOANS and sacrificing the future existence of our civil society through our civil codes and law of the land. Those rights written in the code of the Philippines will be washed out when war and invasion will happen. And the GAME OF LOANS is not a silly game anymore. This GAME OF LOANS will slowly in a “DESPACITO” manner it will eat the rights of the people. To give an example many multinational companies from Red China are getting more legal rights to operate their business in the country.

Dangerously Dancing With The Red Dragon

Thus, Secretary Dominguez, one of my respected wits in the government house at the moment is also clamoring the migration of ZTE company in the Philippine market eating the rights of the small players in the country and bloating the GAME OF LOANS initiated by the little dragon in a “DESPACITO” manner. So how can the Philippines win the land dispute in the first island chain in the Pacific when even our little dragons are playing a game of loans with characters like Cersei Lannister who are so desperate to grab power even with his own people. Though these kinds of people will not succeed even you scan all the history of wars and politics of the world these characters like the little dragon and Cersei Lannister will hurt the economy and the civil society at large. Is the government of the Philippines at present “Dancing with the Little Dragon and the Red Dragon”? or the Dragon with a heart like Daenerys were the love of people and country will always prevail even Daenerys is tagged as the mother of dragons. From Cha- Cha- Cha…. In a Despacito manner, the country Philippines is already dancing with the Red Dragon. Do you think the Philippines will win in the GAME OF LOANS?
