The second book of Simon Schama is more relevant in my opinion to the world events of today because the political relatedness from world war 2 is still fresh to the reference of the political events of today. Though the first book of Simon Schama depicts more of the ancient odyssey of the Jews in Africa, Middle East, Central Asia specifically Mongolia were the Khans of all Khans allow them to enter his Kingdom and learn from their culture. Both the 2 book series of Simon Schama will reveal the international culture of the Jews from 3000 BC-1492 & this particular publication of the book the “Belonging” the story of the Jews from 1492-1900. As a University professor of Columbia University majoring in Arts and History is narrative writings will entertain the intellectual minds of today to the many rapid world-changing events in terms of International law affecting to the geopolitical relationships around the globe.
The history of the Jews will enlighten the general public as a whole in terms of the integration of the Jewish culture to the world that resulted in social war.
