Rising Educational System in Asia: Harvard expands its Educational Program Services across the Globe
In my previous
blogs I discussed the emerging globalization of educational system in US. Started from the joint program of MIT and
Harvard (edEX) with their unlimited online education program, the world is
starting to embrace the globalized educational program formulation. But the recent article I’ve read reveals that
the top universities in US are extending their program in Asia. WHY ASIA?
A lot of notions
and skepticism will arise from the general public’s point of view. But above
all things, educational globalization is the start of world reconciliation and
understanding. As we can see that
educational understanding will ease the tension of any political, business,
religious, and educational variations across cultural backgrounds. Having the
same educational point of view will result to unification of regional policies
to a point that peace and world order can be realized.
But in reality, right at this time the
program of MIT and Harvard is just the beginning of the global educational
interface. On the contrary, Asian universities are also in a negative dilemma if
they will not jive with the globalized educational program started by MIT and
Harvard.
Moreover, what will these local
schools and universities will do with their localized program structure? Can it
hold for another decade or two?
Educational change is coming and unification of program structure is a
relevant move not to complicate the general meaning of educational
globalization. As the program reveals
its globalization orientation, cultural and religious differences in the
long-run will ease as the world population comprised by countries and continents,
will unite and understand its differences.

force. It can only be achieved by understanding."

And I think, Mr.
Albert is implying understanding through education.

I found your blog interesting, and would say that I agree with you. Articles that I have read all lean to the fact that other countries continue to come to the US for their higher education. Do you see Asia surpassing the US in higher education?

Thank you for your feedback. I would have to agree with your regarding the US being more open to research vice other countries. You mention that Asia is more driven towards political and religious way of life. Do you see the possibility of their philosophy of education changing?

At least we can see the brighter contribution of education towards world peace.
Peace, to have meaning for many who have only known suffering in both peace and war, must be translated into bread or rice, shelter, health and education, as well as freedom and human dignity.
-- Ralph Johnson Bunche (1904-1971)
Without giving good education to the world, nobody can understand the real meaning of peace
